Welcome to the bench.
I’m Johnny Utah, and these are the flies I tie, fish, and trust.
From photo-by-photo tutorials to full tying videos, this blog’s built for tiers who want to learn the right way—no fluff, no shortcuts, just fishy patterns that work.

The Emerald Trout Bane.
I really like this one. I will be creating more banes with the use of the materials in this one. Mainly the thread. I going to call these ones the Jewel Trout Banes, J.T.B.- Emerald.... and so on.
Wow, Awesome looking trout bane. After seeing the golden and the green trout banes yesterday fishing with you. I could only imagine how great that one must look also. Since the ones i seen in person were just stunning. Great Job tying and creating these flies. Just love the series of them so far.. Kuddos Bro!!
Thank You Tri, Gaeron, I use u.v. cure resin. I do not believe the hype of ccg. They have the worst price point. It seems like a deal but your getting ripped off big time. I highly recommend Loon clear fly finish.
U.V. cure is great because you have work abilty. You can make bubbles quick and easy. I highly recommend them. Well bug bond and loon.
These trout bane patterns look killer. I'm going to tie some of these up. They look like they would be a great beatis on some of the limestone waters I like to fish.

ReplyDeleteDo you prefer epoxy, or a CCG-type product?
